What is a hand forklift?
A hand forklift is essentially exactly what it sounds like- it is a forklift which is operated manually rather than being powered by a motor of some kind. They still have the recognizable prongs at the front but they are pushed along by humans rather than an engine- they are the type of thing which is sometimes seen moving vending machines around and such like- they are useful for raising up fairly heavy objects which it would normally be out of the realm of human possibility to achieve but they cannot really carry as heavy a load as a normal forklift would be able to. Because they are pushed by a person, they clearly need to have manageable weights on them and thus they are most often found to be used in smaller shops and warehouses where heavy objects don’t need to be moved that often but the staff just need a little bit of a helping hand. They are often also used in offices for moving cumbersome files about which would otherwise take too long to move- you should be careful of any health and safety regulations which you may encounter with letting your staff use hand forklifts.
