What about a walk in bath?
This is another option for those who are elderly or physically impaired in some way and thus find bathing a chore. A walk in bath can be an expensive solution, which requires a new bathroom suite to be fitted but, if approached correctly, they can really revolutionize the way in which many people live their lives.
As the name suggests, you simply walk into your bath and relax yourself, the door is fixed with sealant and so you don’t need to worry about water leaking out when you are in there. By being able to enter and leave your bath without assistance, you will find that your independence in your own home is greatly improved but, again, this is a solution for those people who still have some mobility as, once you have stepped into your bath, you will need to either seat yourself or lower yourself down into the water; of course this could be avoided by having a bath lift fitted.
Walk-in baths are suitable for those people who need help getting into a bath but are still able to wash themselves and take care of themselves; they offer only a partial solution.
