Do I have to undergo any cherry picker training?
In short- yes. You or I couldn’t simply walk up to a cherry picker and jump on and begin using it professionally, a certain level of knowledge and skill is necessary and this is only gained through training. If you are thinking of adding a cherry picker to your company then it is only right that you provide the training to the appropriate members of staff.,
Similarly, if you decide that you are going to rent a cherry picker then you need to ensure that there is somebody on your staff who is capable of controlling the machine in a safe and secure manner. That being said, the training which is needed is not too intensive and thus you should be fine to use the machinery after a relatively short space of time; the system used is very simple and not very complicated at all- buttons control the hydraulic lift and, as long as you can master the control panel, there really isn’t that much else to worry about. Do the training now though, to avoid unnecessary injury, upset and disaster further down the line.
