What are the different types of chair lift?
There are many different types of chairlift on the market, all of which can be fitted to a straight or curved banister as has previously been discussed above. It all depends on how much you are willing to spend and how much you want to get out of your stair-lift experience. There are designs which are very basic but will still do their job perfectly and then there are those which are much more plush and will provide you with much more comfort when you are going up and downstairs; the latter is suited to those who find themselves in pain quite often or those who regularly use their stairs in the daytime (such as those people who don’t have access to a downstairs toilet perhaps).
There are also chair lifts which can be fitted outside to help people move about the grounds of their house or community buildings. These outdoor versions work in the same way as their indoor counterparts do, but they are sturdier and are made from materials which reflect the elements they will have to face on a day to day basis; such chairs may also require slightly more maintenance than their indoor cousins.
