What other types of garage lift are available?

There really are as many different garage lifts out there as there are different types of vehicle which needs lifting. There are the highly mobile lifts, the very small ones which can lift a car up of the floor a short distance in order to allow a tire to be changed or checked- a carjack for example. There are also much larger lifts which can raise up a bus or other large vehicle to allow work to be done- clearly these have to be very big and permanently fixed in place; such large vehicles can really only every be repaired in specialist workshops.

There are scissor-lift variations on the garage lift which are becoming increasingly popular and it really does all depend on what sort of lift you are wanting and for what sort of purpose you are wanting it for.  Take a look through the industrial catalogues and talk to a few suppliers, there may well be a lift solution which you hadn’t thought of yet. Don’t always go for the first option, talk through different ideas until you are certain you are making the right decision.
