Lift Restoration & Lift Modernisation
Has your existing lift been converted to conform to the Discrimination & Disability Act (D.D.A.) 1994? If not then you could be breaking the law!
Amongst the features experienced engineers can install are:
- LED indicators
- Braille buttons
- Audible warning indicators
- Improved lighting facilities
- Non-slip floors, and
- Specialised handles
- And much more…
After carrying out a survey, you are usually recommend either partial or full refurbishment, in line with industry regulations.
Lift restoration and modernisation certificates
The Safety Assessment Federation has created a list of criteria that must be met by all lift engineers. It is mandatory that engineers carry out these tests at set periods: Year 1, Year 5 and Year 10. Certificates are issued after satisfactory examination to the lift owner on each occasion of testing and examination. Lift owners are obliged to keep all certificates to hand.
Our engineers will perform LG1 testing and examination of lifts as well as carrying out tests to BS5655 Part 10 and EN81-1 standards (British and European standards).
