Would it be my responability to schedule annual inspections and maintenance for the service lift?

Q. Would it be my responability to schedule annual inspections and maintenance for the service lift or is that scheduled in the agreement?

A. Once a new lift has been installed, our service department will send out a service agreement which typically includes for two 6 monthly visits. It is then your decision to take up this option or decline. Many thanks

Are vehicle lifts able to withstand the cold and wet weather?

Q. Looking to fit a small car lift outside. The lift will be sheltered from above but not from the sides. Are the lifts able to withstand the cold/wet weather.

A. Not many are designed for outside use the best option is our mobile 3 ton mid rise scissor lift which means you can take it back inside at night  Give me a call if you want discuss further

Whats the advantage of having a 4 post car lift compared to a 2 post car lift?

Q. Hi Carl, Whats the advantage of having a 4 post car lift compared to a 2 post car lift. Is it just purely the extra weight it can handle? Cheers in advance

A. 2 post lift V 4 post lift is a 2 post lift takes up a lot less space there are a lot more jobs you can do on a 2 post lift clutches brakes servicing etc but 4 post lift are good for exhausts and wheel alignment. its not the capacity of the lift because both are available in many different lifting capacity. We have both 2 post and 4 post in stock

My garage has 10ft clearance to the beams, is that enough clearance for anything in your car lift range?

Q. Bit of advice if possible.. My garage has 10ft clearance to the beams, is that enough clearance for anything in your car lift range or anyone elses range for that matter. Anything you could suggest? Thanks

A. Hi  On our 2 post lift the posts are just less than 10-ft 2850mm to be exact you could lower the top limit switch to stop the lift going so high or the other alternative  is to buy one of our MR30 low rise scissor lifts which can be seen on our website. Regards Carl

I currently own car lift and want it to be able take more weight

Q. I currently own car lift and want it to be able take more weight. Can this be done on an existing lift, upgraded in some way? Nice one

A. No this can,t be done, the lift will have been certified to its lifting capacity and the structure tester only to carry its said lifting capacity.

How many service checks should a vehicle lift require?

Q. I have a mate who works at a local garage and they have their vehicle lifts checked every month. Am I right in thinking the amount of checks depends on the amount of use. Are these checks part of the deal when you buy.

A. Hi  The health and safety say that your lift need to be serviced twice a year ( once every six months) also lift should also be inspected at-least  once a year depending one your insurance company polices. These are not part of a deal when buying lifts.
