Q. Hey, Do service lifts require a motor room or space for a motor room? How much space would be needed?
A. The motor room on our lifts is positioned on top of the self supporting structure, therefore there is no additional motor room required. We generally require around 2500mm headroom on the top floor level in order to accomodate this however, if 2500mm is not available we can offer a bespoke solution to a minimum of 2100mm headroom.Alternatively an under driven option is available at an additional cost. We position the motor room at the bottom of the shaft which vastle reduces the headroom requirement in turn.

Q. Can a service lift be installed so that it opens on one side at one level and the other side at a different level?
A. This is an extremely common configuration and is possible to manufacture. There are several arrangements that we can offer depending on your needs/requirements. All of our lifts come complete with stainless steel cabin doors to ensure all items stay inside the cabin during travel. This eliminates the chance of breakdowns. Many thanks.

Q. What form of support do you offer with your access platform lifts if we encounter a fault? Could you give me details of extended service agreements etc?

Q. How long is the warranty for a new service lift system, what does it include? Do you have a standard warrenty period for all your lifts to does it depend on the model/type. Can I purchase extra service cover??
A. All of our service lifts have a one year parts/labour warranty as standard however, should you accept a 12 month service contract then the warranty will be extended to two years. Please contact us to discuss this in further detail.

Q. How long does it take for a typical service lift installation? I know you want be able to give an exact time frame but are we talking days or weeks.

A. As we manufacture a unique version of the service lift which is tested and assembled prior to arriving on site, a typical installation lasts for only 2-3 hours. Our clients agree this is a major time saving benefit. Kind Regards.

Q. Do you do through floor lifts ie ground to first floor in a domestic property? The lift is for my sister, she has one installed already and we are looking to replace it due to maintenace costs.

Q. My dumbwaiter is consistently breaking down mainly due to its age but it can also be overloaded at busy times. The lift was fitted over 10 years ago so it may need to be replaced but I am working within a budget so it all depends on how much this will all cost. Can we replace the lift and enable it to take more weight but still use some of the existing fittings to keep costs down?
A. Innovate Lifting Systems are leaders in the refurbishment / replacement of old dumbwaiters; often in busy restaurants or kitchens. With old dumbwaiters or service lifts often many of the parts are hard to replace so it is difficult for us at Innovate to comment without seeing the lift. Innovate Lifting Systems’ national coverage of engineers are spread accross the country so arranging a free survey would be of no problem.
