Q. Do you charge extra for installation of your bath lifts? Im wondering if this is something I can do myself.
A. Only the Relaxa requires installation. The cost of this will depend on your location and the type of wall being fixed to. If you are aware of wall fixing types for different substrates, and have the necessary tools you may be able to do it yourself.

Q. I very much like to have a bath lift through the last few months of my pregnancy. Can I lease or rent a machine for a short time?
A. Due to the hygienic nature of the use of bath lifts they cannot be rented.

Q. Mr Barfoot Is there a bath lift available that does not need to be fitted or bolted to the bath? We are likley to be moving from our home over the next 18 months and I don’t want to have to buy a new bath before we leave. I look forward to your answer. Regards
A. The Bellavita lift relies on suckers to stick it to the bath floor. It is easily released leaving no damage to the bath.

Q. I wondered how long it would it take to bring and install the bath lift once purchased?
A. Bellavita and Bath Buddy lifts require no installation and are delivered to your door within a week. The Relaxa is delivered within a week and fitting will be as soon after that as we can get a fitter to you – usually about a week.

Q. What would be the cost of a bath lift for a 1700″x 750″ sized bath, is there a brand you could suggest? Its only going to be used once a week so I don’t want to spend too much.

Q. How often do bath lifts need to be serviced if they are being used every day. Is this something that comes as part of the package when you purchase a bath lift? Jen
A. Bath lifts generally do not require regular servicing, but this can be model specific. The Molly Bather, for example, does benefit from annual servicing. The most common item to be replaced is the battery pack which will expire after a time, which will be usage dependent. The life of the lift will depend on the weight of the user and the frequency of use. Servicing is an additional cost to the lift purchase.

Q. Hello I am severely overweight, around 23 stone roughly. Is there a style of lift that will hold my weight?
A. The Windsor bath has a maximum lifting limit of 24 stones, so you would be at the limit of it’s capability. There is no independent bath lift which could support your weight. You may wish to consider a shower or a large walk in bath such as the Plymouth. Take a look at www.practicalbathing.co.uk for information on all these products.

Q. The bath lift seems to be the answer to my bathing problems, but I can’t go out to buy it. Can it be shipped to my door and what about installation??
A. The Bellavita bath lift can be shipped directly to you at home. It does not require installation as it is self assembly (very simple) and battery powered.

Q. I am buying a bath lift for my mother. She is elderly and not too independent. What if something goes wrong while she is using it is there some kind of alarm or alert device on them?
A. If your mother is likely to require assistance then you should provide her with an alarm device or a mobile telephone to have near to hand. Bath lifts do not feature alarms.
