Are vehicle lifts able to withstand the cold and wet weather?

Q. Looking to fit a small car lift outside. The lift will be sheltered from above but not from the sides. Are the lifts able to withstand the cold/wet weather.

A. Not many are designed for outside use the best option is our mobile 3 ton mid rise scissor lift which means you can take it back inside at night  Give me a call if you want discuss further

Whats the advantage of having a 4 post car lift compared to a 2 post car lift?

Q. Hi Carl, Whats the advantage of having a 4 post car lift compared to a 2 post car lift. Is it just purely the extra weight it can handle? Cheers in advance

A. 2 post lift V 4 post lift is a 2 post lift takes up a lot less space there are a lot more jobs you can do on a 2 post lift clutches brakes servicing etc but 4 post lift are good for exhausts and wheel alignment. its not the capacity of the lift because both are available in many different lifting capacity. We have both 2 post and 4 post in stock

Is it safe to store a vehicle on the lift and one underneath it for long periods of time?

Q. Carl,Is it safe to store a vehicle on the lift and one underneath it for long periods of time? Im thinking of using a lift for maintenance as well as parking space but some vehicles might need be up there for a few days. Is this something you would advise? Many Thanks

A. Hi,Yes this is ok as long as you park the lift into the safety locks, this will take the pressure off the hydraulic system and also means in no way can the lift descend on to the vehicle below. All our lift have the facility built in if you want any prices or more information please call me on 0151 346 2920.
