Q. I have a door at the bottom of my stairwell. Would this present an issue when it came time to install my stair lift?
A. This depends where the door is, and it is hard to say with out seeing it. Normaly you could use a hinge track to overcome this problem.

Q. Are the stairlifts easy to clean in the event a mess is made? What about if one of my pets makes a mess on the chair?
A. A stairlift is bolted into the stairs normally in 3-4 places, so the rail can not be moved, however you should be able to wipe under it. As for the seat that depends on the fabric if it is vinyl it will wipe down easily.

Q. Does you company offer stair lift rental contracts? Just wondered if you could give me on a rough figure of what this service should be costing on an annual or monthly basis.
A. We do offer rental. The price for this would be £400 for the installation and removal of the lift with £45 per month rental charge. We can only rent straight lifts.

Q. Dear Sir
I have heard about purchasing “reconditioned” stair lifts online through various used stair lift distributors. I have been told that this is an equivalent of recycling stair lifts to do our part with the environment and stair lift industry. Do you offer “reconditioned” stair lifts?

A. Some people prefer the peace of mind that buying a new lift gives them, since they be covered by a longer warranty and should not have any trouble in sourcing any spare parts. Having said that, reconditioned models can be considerably cheaper, although the length of warranty can vary from company to company. We do supply reconditioned stairlifts.

Q. About how long is the lifespan of a normal stair lift? If we do purchase a product it’s likely to get used everyday at regular times. Is there a product you would suggest for really heavey use?
A. The life span of a stair lifts is in excess of ten years.

Q. Are pits required for fixed access lifts which have a lift higher than 6 feet?

A. A pit is not essential as Innovate Lifting Systems can provide a small ramp for your platform lift or our project managers will speak direcly with your builder and help design a built in solution.
