Is it possible to have a home elevator?
In short, yes it is, but it certainly isn’t a cheap or easy option. Home elevators are often used by people whom have mobility problems and might need help to move around the different levels of their house. Home elevators however cannot be considered in all homes and thus perhaps a platform lift or a stair lift may well be more suitable. One of the latter options would certainly save you money and would also be likely to bring much less structural trauma to your dwelling.
If you do want to fit a home elevator then you need to consider the re-working to the infrastructure of your house which this would involve and also the severe disruption to your life which would be caused during the fitting. It would not be the end of it there either; regular maintenance checks might also bring an unnecessary hassle to your life. That being said, in the right home and for the right price, they can make life much easier for a lot of people.
