How often should stair lifts be serviced?
This is a question which cannot be answered with any real regularity, but it is a very important one to look into. Clearly, when people’s ability to move around their own home is at stake, any problems with a stair lift which mean people cannot get up their stairs can be devastating and have a severe effect on people’s quality of life. Thus, it is important to get your stair lift serviced very regularly and also that you sort out any small problems as soon as they arise- don’t put it off because of the inconvenience that fixing may bring along with it- you will only regret it later (and will most likely end up having to pay out much more money as well).
Talk with your supplier and, based on how often the stair lift is used and the sort of weights it is having to carry, they should be able to recommend how often a service should be carried out- it may well be that the same company that provided you with the stair lift can also provide you with the servicing which it will certainly need.
