When is a hydraulic wheelchair lift suitable?
Our laws, and indeed our moral conscience, now implore that all buildings or places that members of the public have the right to freely access, should be accessible to wheelchair users. This raises the question for many people of when a hydraulic wheelchair lift is suitable. Essentially, if you only have a small section of stairs which needs to be covered, but an area which is too steep to safely and easily use a ramp, then a hydraulic wheelchair lift is probably the best option. The hydraulic wheelchair lift is generally similar to the hydraulic platform lift, but it will be more safe and secure, it will have caging around it and the person using it will always be safe and secure.
Bringing in a hydraulic wheelchair lift can dramatically improve the standard of your business and also ensure that you are complying with the latest laws which have been brought in; you don’t want your business or company to get left behind. Similarly, if your shop is only on one level and a small ramp could provide easy and comfortable access, then you don’t really need one. Be sensible but be safe.
