How often should I get my hydraulic lift serviced?

Businesses only work when they are running like well-oiled machines, when something breaks down it disrupts output and ultimately costs time and money. To avoid this happening, regular servicing is required and this is, of course, no different for hydraulic lifts.  However, they don’t actually need to be serviced as much as you might well think.

You should talk with your supplier about how long they suggest leaving between each routine maintenance check and, on top of this, you should obviously chase any problems up straight away- no matter how small they seem. People could well be in danger if problems are left to liner and you certainly don’t want this on your conscience or your businesses record.

Most stand-alone lift tables and platforms will come with sheeting around the bottom to avoid debris gathering underneath and this generally reduces the need for maintenance and cleaning to the underside of the product but can also mean that spotting a problem underneath there could well be harder and more problemsome than if it were exposed.  Every lift will have its own unique needs and thus no straight answer can be given here; regular checkups are essential but talk to your supplier first.
