What is a hydraulic lift platform?

Mentioned briefly in the previous article, hydraulic lift platforms have a huge variety of different uses within the 21st Century world.  They are so popular because they are so versatile- they can do anything from relatively minor jobs to carrying up to 30 tonnes! There are around 40-50 standard models which can be tracked down through various companies and even more which are available one you start to consider the possibilities of having one custom made to your own requirements. They are suitable for overly-long loads as well.

Using the hydraulic system which has been previously explained, the platforms work on the principle that it takes the same amount of to lift a small load over a short distance as it does a large load over a large distance; thus a relatively small piece of machinery is able to lift loads which might at first seem implausible.  They have greatly reduced the number of work-related back injuries in the places where they have been introduced, and they can also be used to feed products onto a production line; they aren’t about replacing people, they are there to protect employees and help keep them safe.
