How often should I get service lifts maintained?

This is not a question which can be answered with one sweeping generalization, every lift is unique and thus every maintenance schedule and needs will be different also.  Clearly, because they are an invention which is mean to keep speed up things around the office and keep things moving efficiently, they need to be running at their absolute best to ensure that you are getting the best out of them.  You should talk with your supplier, who may well provide maintenance themselves, in order to determine how often regular maintenance checks should be performed and how often you should consider taking the lift temporarily out of action so that it can be given a full health-check.

Obviously, it is inconvenient to lose a lift for any amount of time, especially in these troubled economic times when we are trying to maximize as much as possible the output and efficiency of our businesses, however regular maintenance checks will help to keep your lift moving and, more importantly, will help flag up any potential problems which could hinder and damage your service lift further down the line. Finding problems now can save time and money later.
