Can I get a curved stair lift?
Many people’s stairs, particularly in older houses or those with feature staircases do not go straight up and down and thus, when considering whether or not to get a stair lift, many people are left wondering whether they can fit one on a curved stair. You will be relieved to know, if this particular problem applies to you, that indeed you can get a curved stair lift! They take a little bit more fitting and often have to be bespoke designed in order to fit your particular needs but this results in a very comfortable and very smooth ride- it also means that people with all different kinds of staircases can consider getting a stair lift fitted.
Obviously, this is within reason and spiral staircases may well not be the best kind of place to try and install a stair lift but, then again, if you talk to some of the leading manufacturers, they may well be able to come up with something which suits your needs. Getting a curved stair lift may well be slightly more expensive but, for many people, it is a wise and valuable option to consider.
