How much freight can a goods lift carry?
Again, this is a question to which the answer can vary wildly; it all depends on the make, model and size of the lift which you are thinking of getting installed. Some goods lifts, also known as service lifts in the industry, can carry only very light weights and thus they would crumble under the strain of the cargo which some of the larger lifts can carry. Some goods lifts are used to carrying whole warehouses full of stock from one floor to another and thus they will almost certainly be able to handle whatever you can throw at them.
Talk with your supplier before you make a purchase and they should be able to discuss what sort of lift would be best suited to the sort of freight which you are considering moving. The biggest goods lift can carry much more than you might at first think and thus you might well be thinking that a goods lift isn’t suitable when, in fact, it could do a very important job for you. What goods lifts enable is the movement of incredibly heavy loads incredibly fast and this can only be a good thing for a business as it will increase efficiency, output and, hopefully, profits as well.
