What kind of forklift training is required?
This is a question which many people and many businesses sadly overlook and yet it is a vital one if you are going to protect your employees, protect your staff and protect your customers as well.
There are many different types of forklifts out there, as you will probably realize when you have read a few more of these articles, and thus the training required to be able to handle some of them will be different to others and will also be affected by what industry you are working in and what the forklift itself will be used for.
Training may seem like an expense that it is annoying to pay out, particularly in these difficult economic times but it is something which you are going to have to come to terms with if you want to stay legal and stay safe when employing the use of forklifts. Talk to your supplier and they will be able to talk you through the different types of training which are needed for each model- you can also check up via the government the legal requirements of training for each type of forklift.
