When might I need an elevator services company?

There is no one answer to this question, every elevator will require servicing at different times; it all depends on the loads the elevator is carrying, how often it is used and how far through its lifespan it is. You will need an elevator service company in the event of one of two things happening; either it will have come time for a regular service in which case you will need to give all the lifts under your control a full MOT and health check or you will have noticed a little niggling problem and one of your lifts will not be running as well as it perhaps should; it is better to jump on problems such as these straight away rather than wait to see if they get worse.

Stamping out problems when they first materialize may seem like over-reacting and an unnecessary disruption to the regular running of your business but, if a worse problem were to materialize, then it would only end up causing more disruption. Ultimately as well you need to ensure that your lifts are up to the standards which have been set legally- there could be serious consequences if they aren’t.
