What are the different uses of a cherry picker lift?

Cherry picker lifts were originally designed to be used in orchards, and this is where they get their name from, but now they are as likely to be seen replacing street light bulbs as they are plucking apples from trees. The reality is that cherry pickers have a plethora of diverse and exciting uses. They are used by the fire service on some trucks as an alternative to a ladder, as a faster way of getting to medium-rise windows. They are used in the repair of telephone cables and internet wires and generally anything which needs repairing which is out of the reach of a step-ladder but which doesn’t require any sort of specialist crane to reach. It is a stop-gap between a ladder and a crane essentially.

They can also be used by window cleaners who wish to get to the windows which may well be out of the reach of their normal ladders. The fact that they are attached onto vehicles makes them very mobile and thus there are a plethora of different uses which it can be involved with, at any location and at any height.
