What is the difference between a disabled bath and a bath lift?
This area can be quite confusing, and don’t worry if you are a bit muddled about the whole thing, you most certainly will not be the only one. A disabled bath is a special bath which is designed around helping disabled people to be able to bathe easier; it is a specially-constructed product. A bath lift on the other hand is to help people getting in and out of a normal bath; that’s the difference.
Disabled baths can be a great addition to a house, particularly if you have a disabled family member and thus you know a disabled bath is going to make life much easier; however, they are more expensive than simply having a bath lift fitted. Bath lifts are the slightly cheaper choice but also much more suitable for older people or people who have either temporary or minor movement difficulties; they can simply help you to enjoy one of life’s little pleasures; a nice, relaxing soak in the bath. Do research into both, read the rest of the articles on our website as well, and then decide on which one you think would be best for you.
