Should I get my car lift ramp maintained?
Again, this is a question to which there are so many variables that a direct answer just simply cannot be given. You need to talk to the company who first supplied you the lift and they should be able to advise you on a program of maintenance which will keep everything running smoothly. The amount of maintenance which a car lift ramp needs is always going to be dependent on the type of weight which the ramp is subject to, how often it is used and, also, how old it is.
The recent economic troubles have started a trend for many people buying second hand car lift ramps and car lifts- this is a good solution for saving money but it most certainly increases the amount of maintenance which a car lift ramp or a car lift itself is going to need. You need to get your ramp checked regularly and, on top of this, stamp out any niggling problems which may occur straight away as well. Don’t just wait and see what happens, any little problems now could turn out to be major hazards just a little bit further down the line.
