Is it better to buy brand new stair lifts?
Of course, it is always better to buy a product brand-new as you get many more guarantees and warranty’s and also, you have the satisfaction that nobody has used your product before and that it will still be working at the peak of its performance power. However, in the current financial climate, this is simply not an option which is open to a lot of people and thus many people turn towards buying second-hand stair lifts.
Whilst this is a valid option which has produced a lot of happy customers, it is one which should perhaps be avoided if at all possible. There are simply too many unknowns to deal with, too many things which could potentially go wrong (see the next article for more information on this) a brand-new stair lift may well be fitted by the same company and this company will likely offer you a service and maintenance plan as well; if you buy a stair lift second hand, especially if it is a private sale, then you will have to get someone to fit it and then find someone else to service and maintain it as well.
