Are bath lifts just for the elderly?

This is a common taboo but one which is most certainly not true. It is not just the elderly, or indeed the physically disabled, who could benefit from having a bath lift installed. Some people work jobs where they end up in pain at the end of the day; perhaps they have to do too much heavy lifting and bending down and thus they have a bad back. All they want at the end of the day when they get home is to have a nice relaxing soak in a warm bath, but, because their back is in so much pain, they can’t properly get in the bath safely.

This is where a bath lift could really come in; similarly for women who are pregnant or people who are temporarily incapacitated because of an injury or illness, bath lifts can make a huge difference and ensure that as little as possible about the normal daily routine has to be changed.

You shouldn’t feel embarrassed about considering a bath lift, nor should you think that they are something which only older people would generally consider using; they can help any number of people in any number of ways.
