What is a 4 post car lift?
A 4 post car lift is essentially very similar to a 2 post car lift except there is one fundamental difference- I bet you’ve already figured out what it is as well haven’t you! Whereas the 2 post lift raises up cars on the two posts- the 4 post car lift can be used for much bigger vehicles as it can keep them much more safe and secure for longer periods of time by balancing the weight between the 4 hydraulic posts or arms. Thus they are used in much bigger garages than the two post lifts are used in and they can lift much heavier weights.
The biggest danger when working with large vehicles is to have them suspended for large amounts of time whilst often intricate work is carried out on the underside of said vehicles- the four post car lift offers a solution to this problem which is both effective and safe- any staff using the lift will require training beforehand but, once this has been completed, you really shouldn’t have any problems.
Make sure that you check the maximum weight regulations as well- you don’t want to damage your new purchase, or your customers car for that matter!
