When is a 2 post lift suitable?
2-post lifts are suitable when, first of all, you are sure that yours is working correctly and that it can take the weight of the car. You should only use them for vehicles which are going to be easily lifted by the two posts and which can be supported safely for as long as is needed for the work to be carried out properly and efficiently.
If you feel that your vehicle is too large for this, or it is very near the maximum weight recommendations then it may well be better to go with a four post lift instead, just to make sure that you get that little bit of extra support ant that you and your other workers are always going to be completely safe.
When you purchase a two post lift, the company should advise you when using it will be suitable and when it should not and you need to listen to this information; don’t be afraid to contact the company and ask them questions at a later date; they are the people who will know what they are talking about the most and thus they will be able to give you the best answer which will allow you to do the best job.
